🌱 Are you passionate about waste management and eager to lead a dedicated team? We are seeking a Yard Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a full-time permanent role! Your leadership will be key in maximising production efficiency while ensuring a safe, thriving work environment.
Identify and implement best practises for enhancing production efficiency and material recovery in the yard and processing facility.
Develop and manage work schedules for your team of yard operatives and machine operators, balancing operational and leave requirements seamlessly.
Train team members on Health & Safety guidelines, coordinating with the Health & Safety department to keep training records up-to-date.
Oversee the handling, separation, and delivery of waste materials, ensuring full compliance with organisational procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external hauliers to manage on-site stock levels efficiently.
Execute and update the maintenance programme for all production and mobile plant equipment on-site, ensuring pre-use checks and prompt reporting of any defects.
Provide accurate and timely information for weekly KPI reports, showcasing site performance.
You have proven experience in line management or supervisory roles, with a track record of overseeing teams successfully.
Familiarity with waste management practises is a plus but not essential-your willingness to learn is key!
You hold licences and experience operating mobile plant equipment.
Your strong leadership and communication skills inspire and motivate your team, creating a dynamic work environment.
This is primarily a site-based role where your leadership will shine as you lead by example!
