A forward-thinking energy organisation focused on accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future through innovative, multi-technology solutions in energy generation and storage is seeking a Solar Project Engineer.

As a Solar Project Engineer, you will be pivotal in the planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects from inception to completion. This role will require adept coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure projects adhere to timelines and budgets while meeting safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will also manage project documentation, conduct thorough risk assessments, and devise solutions to technical challenges, while having an opportunity to mentor junior engineers.

The main duties will include but are not limited to:
* Identifying and mitigating project risks.
* Defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones.
* Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the technologies and solutions provided by the organisation.
* Building and nurturing solid relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
* Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Implementing best practise engineering methods to enhance project outcomes.
* Offering technical guidance and support to engineering staff and management.
* Contributing to the identification, analysis, design, budgeting, and optimisation of energy projects and technologies.
* Working with technology suppliers and contractors to design customised energy solutions for client installations.
* Conducting energy engineering evaluations and proficient energy analysis using relevant analytical tools.
* Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and suppliers on business and project developments.
* Researching and staying updated on the latest advancements and opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
* Preparing expert project reports and proposals.
* Designing solar farms, including layout, mounting systems, cabling, and specifications for inverters and transformers.
* Developing proficiency in the Irish permitting system.
* Conducting site visits and preparing design documentation utilising CAD tools.

Relevant Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering related discipline
* 5+ years experience an advantage
* Superb quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills incorporating strong analytical skills
* Strong Experience in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and AutoCAD/BIM applications.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Proven self-starter and self-motivated
* Ability to work as part of a team and to manage workload and prioritise.
* Valid Full Driver's License
* A keen desire to help deliver decarbonisation and the renewable energy transition.
* Strong Analytical and technical problem-solving.
