Job Opportunity: Senior Security Engineer (12 months Contract) in Galway - hybrid working

Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Security Engineer to join their dynamic Application Security Tools Squad! If you're passionate about securing applications and have the expertise we're looking for, this is your chance to shine!

Looking for experience with GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), Mend, BURP, JFrog Xray, Semgrep. Application Security and AWS Cloud are advantageous.

As part of the Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit, the Application Security Tools Squad focuses on delivering innovative tools and solutions that empower over 10,000 developers to implement robust security measures. With hundreds of web applications and frequent releases, safeguarding these applications is crucial to our client's reputation and the well-being of their 40M+ customers.

You will be responsible for design, development, test, deployment, and maintaining SAST, SCA, and secret scanning tools in the CI/CD pipeline.
You will evaluate and implement open-source or vendor technologies to eliminate application security vulnerabilities.
Champion engineering excellence by enhancing automation, test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
Collaborate with team members to tackle real-world problems and meet consumer needs.

Skills:

Cloud Experience: AWS certification preferred, with hands-on experience in cloud environments.
Automation & Pipeline Implementation: Proficient in CI/CD processes.
Application Security Knowledge: Experience in Pen Testing, SAST, DAST, WAF, and other security methodologies.
Data Processes: Familiarity with ETL, ELT, Data Modelling, and BI tools like PowerBi or Tableau is a plus.
Strong engineering background with the ability to deploy scalable multi-tiered applications.
Proficiency in Unix, Shell scripting
Experience with test automation tools and a solid understanding of security architecture.
Agile mindset with effective communication skills to influence peers and decision-makers.
