Senior Front End Engineer

Are you a passionate Senior Software Engineer looking to elevate customer experiences in the retail space? Our client is searching for a talented individual to join their innovative team, where your expertise in web development and testing practises will help shape the future of digital capabilities.

What You'll Do:

- Collaborate on building world-class products and customer experiences.
- Drive the development and testing of stable, robust, and resilient web applications.
- Automate processes to enhance our rapidly expanding product portfolio.
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions while honing your skills and learning new technologies.

Experience:

- 5+ years in designing and developing web applications using Angular, Vue.js, or React, along with TypeScript and NodeJS.
- You believe in test-first development and have experience with modern test frameworks. Quality is everyone's job!
- Stay on top of the latest trends and technologies, sharing your knowledge with the team.
- You challenge the status quo, are curious, and embrace asking "Why" and "What if?".
- You care about cycle time and use tools to rapidly deploy changes while minimising risk (A/B tests, blue-green deployments, feature toggles).
- Strong ability to engage in meaningful discussions and drive project outcomes.

Skills:

- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/Vue.js/React, NodeJS, CSS, HTML, and Browser Developer tools.
- Experience defining test strategy and establishing Test Automation frameworks using tools like Cypress or Puppeteer.
- Solid knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks, as well as debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with end-to-end DevSecOps automation including CI and CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of micro-architecture application development.
- Knowledge of HTTP and REST APIs, as well as database design fundamentals.
- Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, Docker, and AWS Cloud (certifications are a plus).

What You'll Deliver:

- Collaborate with architecture, security, and UXD teams to develop architecturally compliant applications.
- Lead development efforts by defining architecture and tech stacks.
- Own outcomes and ensure quality delivery of features on time.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and communicate effectively with the team.
- Design user-centric web experiences, leveraging User Test Driven Development practises for high-quality products.
