Join our client's growing successful Development team as a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer on permanent basis in Galway (hybrid working). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of solutions that support our client's Investment Operations group.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be part of a global team dedicated to building innovative solutions for our client's group. You will play a vital role in an Agile software delivery team, collaborating with cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.

You will:

Utilise your expertise in Agile software development methodology to deliver maintainable software solutions.
Contribute to architecture and application design discussions.
Actively participate in test automation efforts.
Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, team members, and technology peers to drive success.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
Apply an innovative mindset to automate and streamline manual processes.
Solve complex technical and functional data issues.

Skills required:

A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in Data Engineering.
Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or Snaplogic.
Strong skills in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with experience working with Oracle/Relational databases.
Preferred experience in ML and Python.
Solid understanding and experience with Cloud technologies, including AWS using EKS, EC2, RDS, and Docker.
