Adecco are currently seeking a Senior Buyer to join our client on a full time permanent basis.

Location: Ballycoolen Dublin
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000

This role requires strategic planning, negotiation skills, and strong analytical abilities to optimize purchasing processes, manage supplier relationships, and achieve cost savings while maintaining high-quality standards.

This role demands a keen understanding of market dynamics, a track record of successful decision-making, and the ability to innovate and optimize procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

*Supplier Sourcing: Identify and engage new and existing suppliers for raw materials and finished goods, ensuring the best possible terms and quality.
*Supplier Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers.
*Negotiate commercial and contractual terms using advanced tools and templates to meet performance standards and contractual obligations while driving continuous improvement.
*Cost Optimization: Achieve operational savings through effective pricing
negotiations and by implementing business improvements that reduce the Total Cost of Ownership.
*Contingency Planning: Develop contingency strategies and evaluate alternative options to mitigate potential supply and pricing issues in collaboration with commercial and technical teams.
*Market Analysis: Monitor and analyse commodity pricing, market trends, and competitor strategies to stay informed and proactive.
*Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to understand project needs and develop tailored procurement strategies.
*Forecast Monitoring: Track forecast changes to assess their impact on supply chain activities and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
*Process Improvement: Generate and implement ideas to enhance procurement processes and procedures, contributing to overall business performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Specific Job Skills:

*A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment
*Procurement Experience: Demonstrated expertise in procurement with strong sourcing abilities and a proven track record of collaborating effectively within high-performance teams.
*Category Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant categories, including supplier capabilities, commercial models, and product lifecycles required to meet portfolio and customer needs.
*Decision-Making: Strong decision-making skills with a history of achieving results against key performance metrics.
*Market Insight: Interest in market dynamics and a sharp business acumen.
*Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication skills with significant experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating effectively.
*Analytical Skills: Ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data to support procurement decisions and strategies.
