About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Developer to join our team and drive business growth within the freight and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development and a strong ability to build long-lasting relationships with customers, ideally with previous experience in freight or logistics. This role combines travel with strategic office-based planning, offering the opportunity to work with a seasoned team and contribute to our ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

*Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth in the freight and logistics industry.
*Identify and engage with clients, focusing on solution-based selling to address their unique logistics needs.
*Manage a sales pipeline with precision, ensuring regular updates and participation in weekly pipeline review meetings.
*Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
*Collaborate with the Head of Sales, Business Developers, and Customer Success team to deliver seamless solutions for clients.
*Prepare annual budgets, conduct quarterly sales reviews, and participate in key strategic planning sessions.
*Stay informed about industry trends, leveraging this knowledge to offer innovative solutions to clients.

Experience/Skills/Education:

*Industry Experience: Senior/Management level in similar positions, ideally with industry experience in Freight/Logistics.
*Sales Skills: Demonstrated success in solution selling with a high conversion rate, especially with clients whose annual freight spend exceeds €100,000.
*Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems is essential; experience with Azyra is preferred.
*Availability: Willingness to travel, while ensuring office presence during key periods such as budget preparation and sales reviews.
*Results-Driven: A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering growth.
*Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while also working independently when on the road.
*Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
