𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻:
This is a 23 month contract role within the Manufacturing team in the manufacturing of Medical diagnostic equipment. The position will involve the testing and troubleshooting of automated medical diagnostic instruments, sub-assemblies & test fixture's. The Incumbent must have experience and knowledge in trouble shooting systems involving software, electronics, mechanical assemblies and fluidics systems, including reagents. A background in applications or systems would be an advantage. A science background with laboratory experience in Immunoassay and Chemistry also an advantage.

The incumbent will report to the Team leader on site and will form part of a flexible manufacturing team covering the Manufacturing of our Products.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲:
1) Technically responsibility for the testing and debug of medical diagnostic product platforms in a low volume, high complexity and highly regulated technology environment.

2) Fully responsible for troubleshooting instrument problems and resolution in a timely manner to ensure daily output targets are achieved.

3) Responsible for meeting production output targets and assigned plant metrics.

4) Investigate root cause of failures to a component level to ensure elimination of repeat failures.

5) Develop, improve & maintain good manufacturing practices and workmanship standards with a quality and process robustness focus.

6) Be responsible for reagent and sample handling ensuring good practices and continuously improving the processes.

7) Follow process and test instruction to verify instruments before shipment.

8) Using theoretical knowledge and practical experience, establish causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the electrical, hydraulic and chemical operation of systems and modules with a minimum loss of test time.

9) Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications and methodologies

10) Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork, test data for each system/module to ensure that accurate Quality records are available.

11) Assisting Engineering in the initial validation, installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment and products.

12) Training in new personnel or existing Technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.

13) Reduce waste and improve performance using process & instrument knowledge in alignment with lean and 6 sigma manufacturing techniques

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀/𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀/𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲:
* QQI Level 6 qualification in Engineering or Science Discipline (Bio-Chemistry, Chemical, Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or other relevant technical background) or QQI level 6 Diploma / Trade qualification with relevant experience in automation / system manufacturing or support.
* Have strong trouble shooting and practical experience in instrument technical trouble shooting.
* Must have good communications skills to provide feedback to Engineering.
* Must have a good practical background.
* 2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
* Possibility of shift work to meet supply demand.
