Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and shape procurement strategies within a Multinational company? Our client is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the entire procurement process, focusing on category-based supplier selection, which includes General, Admin, and Production procurement.
Salary dependent on experience.

Occasional Travel to China required.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the procurement process for category-based supplier selection, ensuring that all purchases align with the organisation's needs.
Develop and implement effective bidding, negotiation, and price comparison strategies to secure the best pricing for products and services.
Manage and coach the procurement team, instilling a strong understanding of procurement's core value, cost-effective negotiation skills, and awareness of procurement contract risks.
Negotiate prices with vendors, fostering relationships that yield optimal results.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure all procurement activities meet organisational requirements.
Evaluate vendor qualifications to determine the most suitable partners for the organisation's needs.
Prepare management reports and key performance data, and monitor cost savings on a monthly basis.
Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring open and effective communication.
Regularly report on target achievements, upcoming work plans, and identify potential risks to the organisation.
Address all invoices and payment inquiries from suppliers while monitoring payment progress.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field. Higher qualifications are advantageous.
5 to 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2-3 years in a purchasing role within a telecommunications company or other global organisations.
Fluent in Mandarin
Strong understanding of purchasing, negotiation techniques, commercial insight, and cost breakdowns.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Outstanding organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A strong work ethic and a desire to achieve excellence in all endeavours.
Work Environment:
This position is based in our client's office in Dublin, requiring a commitment to work five days a week.
