About the Role
As an HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE standards across project sites. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will implement HSE management systems, oversee on-site safety measures, conduct investigations, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
-Promote awareness of HSE requirements throughout the organisation.
-Review and ensure the full implementation of the HSE Management System.
-Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
-Represent the organisation on project sites for HSE-related matters.
-Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
-Drive behavioural HSE programmes to encourage a proactive safety culture.
-Record and analyse data on first aid cases, near misses, and incidents to monitor HSE performance.
-Foster a strong safety culture on-site among project teams and subcontractors.
-Perform site inspections, ensuring high standards of safety and housekeeping are maintained.
-Assist with the development and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
-Ensure proper PPE usage and oversee safety signage and equipment checks.
-Maintain thorough documentation of safety activities, including daily and weekly reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or in a similar HSE role.
-Strong understanding of ISO management procedures and HSE regulations.
-NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
-Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety is highly desirable.
-Experience working with Irish HSE standards.
-Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
-Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Full driver's license, with flexibility to travel as required.
