An experienced Communications Manager is needed to support a leading multinational company in Ireland (with some additional work in the UK). As the Communications Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead communications efforts in Ireland, overseeing proactive communications, managing crisis and issues, and collaborating with colleagues in Policy, Legal, and Marketing. You will also work closely with the UK team to support high-priority areas such as AI and business narratives.
This is a fixed-term contract of eleven months, and the role is remote within Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main communications lead for the company in Ireland.
- Collaborate with EMEA and global communications colleagues, cross-functional teams, and external agencies to respond to high-priority media inquiries.
- Work with agency teams to effectively communicate proactive announcements and key moments to the appropriate audiences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tier 1 media outlets in Ireland.
- Support the UK team's proactive communications campaigns when required.
Skills/Requirements:
- Proven experience in the Irish media landscape, preferably within the tech or high-profile consumer-facing brands sectors.
- Experience working with or managing external agency teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Ability to comprehend and navigate complex company policies to understand their impact on Ireland.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong judgement, multitasking abilities, and prioritisation skills.
