We are currently recruiting for Cloud Service Engineers (Mobile Support) for our tech client based in Dublin 4. It's a fully onsite role for 12 months initially offering a competitive package.
ROLE OVERVIEW
� We are seeking a Mobile Services Support Engineer to join our O&M department in Dublin.
� This team is responsible for global cloud service O&M and provides 24/7 cloud service stability and security services, with a focus on mobile services reliability, availability, monitoring/alerting, and capacity planning within the EU region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
� As the Mobile Services Support Engineer, you will monitor mission-critical, customer-facing systems across public cloud environments and work closely with global SRE teams to assist in daily services/applications maintenance, as well as continuously identifying improvements in the existing deployment approaches.
� You will be responsible for daily maintenance of services in the cloud, providing 24/7 on-call support, and developing and delivering timely reports on service metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
� The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, be a critical problem solver, comfortable analyzing complex technical issues, and respond within strict SLAs.
� Additionally, you are a fast learner, self-motivated, and enjoy taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment where you have the freedom to deliver impact at their own pace.
� Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications or equivalent experience related to Information Technology, with ideally experience as an IT/Internet distributed systems engineer or SRE managing a SaaS/PaaS environment, with a focus on monitoring and day-to-day service maintenance.
� Experience operating in a Linux environment, configuration, and operation with monitoring tools, and knowledge of network technologies.
� Systematic problem-solving approach, effective communication skills, and a sense of drive.
� Knowledge of programming languages and/or script languages (e.g., Bash or Python) and certification in ITIL or understanding of DevOps environment and ISO27001/CSA-STAR standards would be a competitive advantage.
