An innovative energy organisation committed to accelerating the transition to zero carbon across multiple sectors is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer for their Dublin office. Position Overview:
This full-time hybrid role is based in Dublin 8, with the flexibility to work remotely when needed. As a key player, you will be instrumental in designing complex high-temperature heat pump systems and solar farms, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into clients' processes.
What You'll Do:
* Design foundations for modular structures and conduct geotechnical evaluations.
* Develop detailed designs for trenching, ducting, and structural support.
* Oversee the setting out for solar farms and manage civil contractors on-site.
* Evaluate existing buildings for additional load capacity and provide innovative engineering solutions.
* Lead and mentor less experienced engineers while overseeing their design work.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project timelines are met and designs align with client expectations.
* Review and approve civil and structural designs to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
What Their Looking For:
* Approximately 8 years of experience in Civil and Structural Engineering.
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline (Level 8).
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred but not mandatory.
* Exceptional problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and AutoCAD/BIM applications.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
* A self-starter who is motivated and able to manage workload efficiently.
* A valid full driving licence is preferable but not essential.
* A genuine passion for contributing to decarbonisation and the renewable energy transition.
